Happy Belated For Every Shit!

First and foremost...Merry Christmas! and Happy New Year! Well...belated that is.

I haven't got the chance to really blog about my last semester break here. As most of you who MISSED ME so much, although I asked you to not miss me, knows that I'm not able to go back to Malaysia. So, mummy made a deal with me for me to stay away from the devils.

That is. To go on a Holiday!

Well, my classes ends on the 15th December, 2006. On the Sunday of the week, I head down to my sis's bf's place, Bournemouth (pronounce as "bourne-muff" not "bourne-mouth"). Its situated down south of England, right next to the French Channel (or is it English Channel?). Google it yourself damnit! I was there for about a week and a half I guess?

Damn...I just love the beach (bitches too :p )! Look at this!

Look...the beach in Bournemouth. The water aren't that clean though. But the sound of waves and the smell of sea is so calm and relaxing.

There's this row of huts by the beach. People buy these huts for thousands of pounds! Or rent? Hmmm... Anyhow, they spent so much just to get their white asses tanned during summer! Kinda fun though!

Oh btw, did I mentioned that I spent my Christmas in Bournemouth? Well, I had a wonderful time there I must say! I successfully roast my very very first turkey ever! Well, it was a bit burned on one side. But look! Gimme your points!

Well, give point to my turkey! Not my funny looking face! The pict was taken at the wrong expression moment! I've got good feedbacks from the others though! Oh, others...This is the others...

Well, these are those that were in for the Christmas Dinner. Clockwise from the most left: Ricky(Sis's BF), My Sis(Soo Ling), I can't remember her name(She's wife of the guy in pink, they call her OT or something like that), Nicholas, and lastly Lawrence. They said my turkey was one of the best they ever ate! Or maybe, they just said so just to make me happy.

Oh! My Christmas present! NYEK NYEK NYEK! I've got a...Jamie Oliver's Flavour Shaker! and also a French Language Starter Kit! Looks like I've got lots of things to do this year. Learning French & doing more cooking! WOOT WOOT!

Oh, some of you may have heard about my trip to Barcelona. Sorry bout the late post up of pictures. I've been editing lots of the pictures, I haven't finish editing the whole thing yet. But I'll show you some of which I had done editing.

My first ever meal in Spain. And I've become addicted to it. Its seafood paella. I'm gonna try to cook this one fine day. Its so juicy, delicious, lickicious, yummylicious, scrumptious, lip smacking, mouthwatering, delicate food!

Me and my sis felt like munching something else as we're not really that full. So we choose to indulge ourself in some gelato! Oh btw, this is all on the first day I reached Barcelona. It was quite late by the time we reach. So we didn't really do much but just walked around the city. We stayed in an apartment situated at the very heart of the city. Its just a minute walk from La Rambla. Here! My pinkish looking but yet oh so gorgeous looking apartment!

It was really nicely decorated in the interior. But I won't put up much pict here. Check out my flickr site for more picts.

On the second day, we went about walking around to find bus to our planned destination. Quite a long walk just to find a bus though. This is some picts I took while walking to find where the bus stop is.

Some walkway near some university.

Behold the mighty! errr...I don't know who!

We took like almost an hour to find the bus stop actually. But the one hour walk was quite worth it. We saw things that would not be seen by taking busses. Specially for my sis, as for me, I just love taking photos. Our first destination using the bus was the La Pedrera(Casa Milà).

This, is a side view of the La Pedrera(Casa Milà). All I can say about La Pedrera(Casa Milà) is that Pere Milà and his wife Roser Segimon commissioned Antoni Gaudí to construct a building on the boundary separating Barcelona from Gràcia, with the aim of turning the main floor into the family residence and leasing out rest of the dwellings. Owing to the way its façade appears to be carved out of rock, the Casa Milà was nicknamed La Pedrera, which means stone quarry. It was declared by UNESCO in 1984 as a World Heritage Site.

One of the few many archways corridor inside of La Pedrera(Casa Milà).

The rooftop of La Pedrera(Casa Milà), still under construction as you can see.

The view from inside of La Pedrera(Casa Milà).

The view from the rooftop of La Pedrera(Casa Milà).

This is some weird sculpture that was on the rooftop area. It appears to be somewhat like a medieval soldier helmet. Covered with green bottle glass I think.

We then hop on the bus towards Temple de la Sagrada Família.

This cathedral is fucking huge I must say. And it is said the only cathedral in the world which is still under construction. The construction of this unique temple begain in 1882, and one year later Antoni Gaudí was appointed Project Director. He Worked on the project over 40 years until his death in 1926. The overall plan and his in-depth studies of the project, based on the use of innovative geometrical shapes of naturalist style are the cornerstones on which the current architects continue the work to this date.

Eight of the twelve bell towers of the façade, dedicated to the Apostles and having a height exceeding 100metres, are already built. The four belfries awaiting construction are those the Façade of Glory, the 170-metre central dome in honour of Jesus Christ, the Tower of the Virgin Mary standing at 125metre, and the Tower of the Four Evangelist. The Vaults of the main nave are finished , and work is focused now on the area of the transepts and the apse. From the very beginning, the only financing for building the Temple of the Sacred Family, came only from private donations such as churchgoers and devotees, and it continues on till today by many admirers. It is expected to finish construction by the year 2026.

Oh, I love this stained glass so much. The sun was shinning into the stained glass, leaving the interior of the church lit by colourful colours produced by the glass. Oh, I submitted this photo for a photo exhibition in the uni tomorrow, Tuesday! Hopefully I will win? WISH ME LUCK!

After Temple de la Sagrada Família, we went to Park Güell. This is what you get when you enter the park! But that's not it...The real park starts above. See those small little mens above? Can't? I'll show you...

There! This is the view from above the park. It is above the pillar thingy in the previous picture.

I'll show you the view from the edge of the park!

This is the view of barcelona. Well, a portion of it to be exact.

This place is like at the bottom of the park, at one of the corners. There were many holes on the wall. The one where the lady on the most right is. I don't know what it is, but lots of people kept going to sit on it and take photos. But it looks like to me its suppose to be flowers sitting in it rather than human.

After that...TADAA! Futbol Club Barcelona!

I was down next to the pitch when I took the photo. The two men at the far end was grading the pitch I think. We weren't allowed to step on the pitch at all.

Saw the numbers on top of it? number 10 = You Know Who! Its Ronaldo of course! Well, I'm not much of a football fan, so I truly understand if some of you guys don't know.

I think this is where they do the commentary thing. Cuz there is lots of plugs underneath the chairs.

That's it! the summary of my first day in Barcelona! Well, not first day actually. The first and second day to be exact. Because the first day I reach barcelona, it was already 7pm. So I didn't actually manage to do much after that. Just had dinner and walked around a little. The places above that I visited is on the 2nd day. There is another day for me to cover in this blog, but I haven't manage to edit finish all the photos yet. So ermm...You guys have to wait ya?!

Anyhoos...time to go groceries shopping! Don't Miss Me aight?!

I must say, congrats on your first and successful turkey roast! Though I can't judge the taste of the turkey by just looking at it, I can give you points on the looks of it.

I'll give you a 6.5 / 10. Not bad for a first timer.

I guess we share our passion in food.

P.S. Btw, the channel belongs to the English not the French.

Thanx Qi Guang! Though the turkey was actually a bit burned on the breast side! But just the skin! Food is lovely ain't it? Let's go food hunting next time!

Btw, sorry couldn't hang around with you the last time you came down here. Will do the next time!

English Channel eh?! Hahahaha! I suck at geography! Well, actually I'm more of suck at naming which sea is where I think? :P

I LOVE food, U love food, WE LOVE FOOD! :D

It's alright la, there's still next year and the following year also. Can visit anytime.

You suck at geog huh? Don't tell me the North Sea is at the "South" end of England! I'm sure you can make your mind on that. Hahaha!!!

Too small. Enlarge!

Erm, I'm not being offensive in anyway but there's something called "Click the picture to enlarge"... -_-'
